The French Laundry at Harrods

1 world-renowned chef
3 Michelin-star accolades
9 mouthwatering courses
10 one-off dates

Saturday 1st October to Monday 10th October 2011

From Saturday 1st October to Monday 10th October, Chef Thomas Keller’s three Michelin-starred Napa Valley restaurant was replicated for a one-off pop-up event at Harrods.

Twenty lunch and dinner seatings saw some 1,400 diners enjoy a one-off nine-course Chef’s Tasting Menu. No ingredient was repeated and the menu’s succession of innovative tastes – such as the signature Oysters & Pearls, Chowder made with Sacramento sturgeon, razor clams, sweet corn and celeriac, and miniature canapés, including an Atlantic salmon cornet in a sesame seed tuile – brought Chef Keller’s intricate preparations to life with a theatrical and playful effect. Ingredients were carefully selected representing Chef Keller’s favorite suppliers, including lobsters and scallops handpicked fresh off the boat in Maine and hearts of palm from sustainably grown orchards in Hawaii.
